Laura Kneeshaw is a self-taught artist based in Saskatchewan, working primarily with digital media and oil paint. She uses bold contrasting colours and shapes to create dramatic portraits showcasing her subjects' personas. By combining traditional impressionist methods and contemporary digital techniques she keeps her work energetic and alive.
Currently, she is exploring narratives of subjects living in isolating environments.
Her work is heavily influenced by art movements such as tonalism, american realism, and draws a lot of inspiration from the baroque period.
